Upload HTML web sites via FTP - done!

Publish your websitens easily, quicklyl and for free with MAGIX. Whether you program the pages in HTML yourself or use software like MAGIX Xtreme Web Designer 5 or MAGIX Xtreme Photo & Graphic Designer 5 – all you have to do at the end is upload it via FTP to your MAGIX Online World disk and your website will be published in the Internet and available for viewing at your webaddress (http://yourname.magix.net/public). With the free MAGIX Online World access, you will also get MAGIX Online Album free  and MAGIX Website Maker free as well as 500 MB (up to 10 GB) online storage space..

1. Create website

Create a website, using for example MAGIX Xtreme Web Designer 5 or MAGIX Xtreme Photo & Graphic Designer 5 or another website software, or by programming in HTML.*

2. Upload via FTP

To upload websites via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to your online disc, you need an FTP software. In MAGIX Xtreme Web Designer 5 and MAGIX Xtreme Photo & Graphic Designer 5 this function is already integrated (publish website). All you have to do is enter the address of the Online World FTP server (it is ftp.magix-online.com) and your Online World login data and upload your website.

Important:
The file name of your initial page must be named index.htm or index.html (lowercase letters).

3. Done! Your website is now online

As soon as all data from your website is loaded to your online storage space, you may view it on the Internet at your Online World web address http://yourname.magix.net/public.

*MAGIX web hosting only supports the delivery of static contents. Data, which must be interpreted in order to be correctly displayed (such as .php, .asp etc.) or has to be edited by programmers at the server end, is not supported (except for Java script). In these cases, data will be displayed or prepared via HTTP "as is". In addition, no databases are supported (MySQL, Access etc.)
