We have optimized the user interface, making it even more intuitive in its use and have created an intelligent loading logic, which leads to shorter loading times in the Website Maker itself as well as on the Flash websites.

All improvements in detail

Brand new! The easy-to-use Object Manager

At the heart of Website Maker 4 is its new, even easier to use Object Manager, which you can use to upload your personal media into your webspace and integrate objects from the large multimedia Object Library into your Flash website. The display area for the objects has been enlarged, making it easier for you to find exactly the object you're searching for.

Special highlight: The object display area can be enlarged even further by using the horizontal dividing line. Simply drag the dividing line upwards or downwards while holding the mouse key. Users who work on their websites a lot or have uploaded different types of media and online albums will clearly notice the improved overview and user friendliness.

You can fold and unfold the entire Object Manager easily by clicking on the arrow. This gives you absolute freedom when editing your website in the workspace.

There is a new and very useful preview function, allowing you to view all of the photos, videos, and listen to songs you've uploaded. As soon as you move the mouse pointer to a thumbnail, the corresponding medium is displayed in the enlarged preview window. Thanks to the new loading technology, you can pre-listen and pre-view all of your videos and music directly in the Website Maker.

The Object Manager still features the convenient "Drag&Drop" function, which you can use to insert objects into the workspace. Simply drag the medium from the Object Manager into the workspace while holding the left mouse key. Alternatively, you can use the "Insert" button located directly on the object.

Tip: If you wish to drag multiple objects into the workspace simultaneously in order to insert them into a previously selected media player or gallery, for instance, you can select the objects via the checkboxes and click "Insert". You can delete media by clicking on the red Delete icon.

Clever! The intelligent Properties Manager

The Properties Manager is no longer located on the left side of Website Maker, but in the workspace directly on the selected website object. The shorter distance allows you to adjust object settings even quicker.

In addition, the settings options have been divided into

new categories: "Format", "Style", "Link", "Effects", "Playback" and "Pages". You can select them by using the corresponding icon tabs.

The "Properties Manager" is now context sensitive, which means that the menu only displays the settings options which can be adjusted for the selected object — No more and no less. This leads to a clearer, more intelligent layout.

You can adjust the Properties Manager to the space available in your workspace anytime. You can move the Properties Manager in the workspace and change its size via the lower, right corner while holding the mouse key.

The settings for every type of object, e.g. texts, media players, images etc., are saved, making it easier to apply recurring object settings later on.

Improved! The clearly laid-out Page Manager

The Page Manager is still located on the left side of Website Maker. Use it to manage all of the pages of your website project as well as the integrated objects. Thanks to the new layout of Website Maker, you can have the Page Manager opened all the time, allowing you to switch between the pages easily.

Thanks to the object list you have an overview of all of the objects used in your website.

The buttons for website background and navigation are located directly beneath the page overview.

The vertical dividing line located between the page overview and the object list is a new feature of the "Page Manager". You can move it up and down while holding the left mouse key. This provides you with more space and an improved page overview, making it easier to switch between the pages especially when dealing with websites made up of many pages.

If you need to work on one page for a longer period of time and need more space on the workspace, you can use the arrow located directly next to the heading in the Page Manager to fold and unfold the Page Manager. This way you will have more space to work on your website.

Shorter loading times! A very important improvement, which was welcomed by many of our users, is the improved internal loading logic of Website Maker. Thanks to this optimization, loading times in the Website Maker and on the website have been reduced.
New web designs! New flash web designs were placed online with "Vektorline". This design line features animated web design templates with the following topics: "Audio & music", "Online world", "Nature & environment", "Love & friendship", and "Water". All designs include exclusively programmed and ready-to-use media players, picture frames, contact forms etc.
Gallery! The new, interactive photo & video gallery received very positive feedback. Finally, you can present your photos & videos in a clearly laid-out gallery with enlarging effects (lightbox) or conventionally in a new browser window.
Photo presentation! You can also integrate a single photo or several photos into picture frames on your flash website and enlarge them automatically simply by clicking on them with the mouse. You can display and enlarge the media as a lightbox or as popup.
New upload! The new, even easier and super-fast file uploading function should not go unmentioned. You can upload individual files, multiple files, and even different file formats in a single process to the Online World's web space.
